Where Is the Love

What is it about some absent parents that make them feel child support alone is their only responsibility? Anyone who is constantly involved and connected with their children know that emotional support is vital, as well. The absentee parent usually feels comfortable with being "deadbeat" because they realize that someone else is there to carry their slack. This is more and more evident in fathers. The emotional dettachment can affect childrens' social abilities and self-esteem. Children need to know that they have a parents support and nurturing, no matter how old they get. But, it seems that the same folk that are countless parents, are the same that are continuously spitting out more children. For this reason, I believe there should be court ordered sterilizations.
